Sgt. Bernard Jarvis, Robin Hood Rifles, Killed in Action 30th June 1917

Sgt. Bernard Jarvis, 1/7th (Robin Hood Rifles) Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, was killed in action 30th June 1917. He is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.

“JARVIS. – In loving memory of my dear husband, Sergt. Bernard Jarvis, 1/7th Sherwood Foresters, missing since June 30th, 1917. Too dearly loved to be forgotten. – Loving wife and mother.” [1]

He was the 31 year-old son of George and Jane Jarvis; husband of Emily Elizabeth Burley (formerly Jarvis), of 65 Martin Street, St. Ann's Well Road, Nottingham.
