Edward Andrew Grange. One of the First 'Flu Victims?

Pte. Edward Andrew Grange, 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards, died in No. 6 General Hospital, France, on 25th June 1918. He is buried in St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen.

“GRANGE. – In loving memory of Edward Andrew Grange, who died abroad from illness contracted on active service, June 25th, 1918. A soldier and a man. – From Clara, little Rene, and Bert.” [1]

Born at Nottingham, he was the 19 year-old son of Thomas and Emma Grange, of 71 Teviot Street, Poplar, London.
