Fined for Sleeping in a Munition Works, 29th June 1918.

Former Pte. Ernest Arthur Guyler, 1/4th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, was fined £5 on 29th June 1918 for falling asleep in a munition works.
Nottingham-born Guyler, been wounded twice in France, on 29th July 1916 and 6th June 1917, which had led to his discharge.
“ASLEEP IN A MUNITION WORKS.
“A munition worker named Ernest A. Guyler, 23, employed as a doorkeeper, was fined £5 at a North Midland Police-court to-day [29th June 1918] for being asleep on duty when he should have been guarding the T.N.T. room.
“It was stated that defendant, who had been wounded in France, became affected by the T.N.T. fumes, of which he had complained to the medical staff.”
