“MORE BEER TO BE BREWED.

“ONE-THIRD INCREASE FOR THREE MONTHS.

“It is understood that the Government have come to a provisional agreement with the brewers with regard to an increase in the beer output, in view of the needs of harvesters and other workers. The arrangement is for three months only, and permits during that period an increase of 33 1-3 per cent, in the amount of beer brewed.

“It is stipulated that the additional beer is to be of light character. The agreement is to be reviewed at the end of three months.”

'Nottingham Evening Post', 29th June 1917.
