“THE ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER AT MANSFIELD.

“CONDITION OF THE INJURED GIRLS.

“At Mansfield this morning [30th June 1915] Harry Shead, the young Mansfield Woodhouse miner who is in custody on a charge of attempting to murder two Mansfield girls, Ada Elizabeth Radford and Ellen Clarke, was again remanded.

“Supt. Rodgers stated that he had a more favourable report to give of the condition of the girls. Clarke had been discharged from the hospital, and the other girl was making fairy satisfactory progress, but could not be said, at present, to be out of danger.”

'Nottingham Evening Post', 30th June 1915.
