Pte. John Allen, 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters, Killed in Action 30th June 1917

Pte. John Allen, 1st Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, was killed in action 30th June 1917. He is buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery.

“ALLEN. – In loving memory of our dear brother, Pte. J. Allen, killed in action June 30th, 1917. Ever in our thoughts. – Sisters Annie, Polly, Flossie, Jeannie, brother-in-law Albert in Germany.” [1]
