Pte. Joseph Foster, 2nd Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment

Pte. Joseph Foster, 2nd Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, missing since 20th October 1914, was confirmed as having been killed in action on that date on 30th June 1915. [1]

A pre-war regular, who landed in France with the battalion on 8th September 1914, he is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial. He was the husband of Rosa Foster, later Savage.
